PA Market Cocktail Class

Fall is here and we all need to warm ourselves with spirits! We are here to teach you about the worldwide and local history of cocktails and spirits. Attendees will learn techniques and common cocktails to make at home as well as dive into our newly released fall menu.


All classes include: Individual place setting on our patio to provide you with a fall environment and a private bar. Recipe cards and spirit information. Step by step instructions, sample cocktails,appetizers, and the option to hop behind the bar and make some cocktails!

Sign up for 1 of 5 wine inspired designs and From the Field PGH will provide you with all of the tools to create your sign! The PA Market will provide a flight of 3 wines during the event, and explain each wine while you paint and create your sign!

Sign choices include: "Screw it", "Rose the day way", "Save water, drink wine", "Partners in Wine" and "I'll clink to that!"

Each ticket includes one sign design as well as 3 different wines for tasting.

Let's take a look at some of the big, bold red wines of Italy. We will taste through 5 of our bold Italian red wines and pair each up with a cheese or charcuterie selection that would be a great accompaniment. We will look at varietals such as Barolo, Nero D' Avola, Barbera D' Alba, Negroamaro and Dolcetto. We will learn what makes them a bolder wine and learn how pairing them with the proper foods can change the profile of the wine and make it much softer on the palate. It isn’t every day you get to learn from the nation’s foremost expert on a subject, but that’s exactly what we’ll have happening at the Pennsylvania Market on July 23!

Join Adam Knoerzer, Dean of Drinking at Palate Partners & Dreadnought Wines in Lawrenceville, as he teaches about some of the South African wines found on the PA Market shelves and beyond. Adam recently won the national finals of the Wines of South Africa Sommelier Cup held in New York, and he will be representing the United States in Cape Town in September to compete for the international title against other national finalists from the UK, Germany, Sweden, Ghana, the Netherlands, and more. As the current reigning national champ who has traveled extensively within the winelands of South Africa, Adam offers a unique perspective on these fascinating and delicious wines and is delighted to share his knowledge with the Pennsylvania Market audience.
